Overview
Meet Keiji Osaki: a young man who hates dealing with machines even though he is very experienced in working with them. That's just the kind of guy he is. After failing the college entrance exam, he begins helping out in his grandfather's workshop, which specializes in repairing WORKS, heavy industrial robots. For some time he enjoyed a quiet life in the village, adored by regular visitors to the workshop. However, one day his life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a metal life form attached to a meteorite that fell from the sky. To further complicate matters, the organism he rescues takes the form of a forgotten girl from his past. Thus begins his life with the metal organism known as R-ne. But after a while, R-does not learn to speak and tells Keiji that he wants to return to his home planet. touched by her words, he decides to send her back into space no matter what. However, this may prove difficult when a female space pirate, also known as a rare metal hunter, appears out of nowhere and gets in his way. Caught in this whirlwind, will Keiji and his friends be able to send R-ne safely back to his homeland?
